Natural and Wine Trail Cornaiano
Ideal for wine lovers and those interested in viticulture
The wine trail "Hoher Weg" in the wine village of Cornaiano leads past numerous vineyards and offers a wonderful panorama over the provincial capital of Bolzano and the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage. The hiker gains insight into the work of the winegrowers and the importance of viticulture for the south of South Tyrol. The purely themed trail starts inCornaiano and can be completed in about 40 minutes. From the Hotel Sigmundskron, a hiking trail leads through the forest to Cornaiano; you could possibly return via Frangarto.

Circular hike Lakes Monticolo
Pure relaxation at two bathing lakes
From the large forest car park at the lake of Monticolo, you can start a leisurely hike around the two idyllic lakes in the middle of the nature reserve (approx. 1.5 h). For those who like longer hikes, a hiking trail also starts directly from the hotel and leads via Colterenzio into the forest of Monticolo (approx. 6km one way).

Picturesque meadows along the Salto
From the Restaurant Edelweiss in San Genesio via the European Long Distance Trail E5 across the high plateau of the Salto through picturesque larch meadows to the Restaurant Langfenn and the little church (approx. 2h one way).

Gleif church and ice holes Appiano
Icy cold even in summer at over 30° C
From San Michele-Appiano to the small church Gleif with a fantastic view over Appiano to the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage and from there via Castel Palù-Schulthaus to the ice holes. There, a natural phenomenon takes place in a 50-metre-wide hollow, where icy cold prevails even in summer.
Altogether approx. 1.5h-2h hours, depending on the route.

Lake Valdurna
Natural idyll and wonderful tranquillity
A walk (approx. 1h) around the picturesque lake Valdurna in the rustic Sarentino valley. A fabulous mountain backdrop and idyllic tranquillity await you during the leisurely hike around the lake. Afterwards, you can stop off at the traditional Restaurant "Fischerwirt" right by the lake.

Panorama trail Corno del Renon
360° panoramic view
First take the cable car from Pemmern to the mountain station, where the circular trail starts. From there you walk along the Panorama Trail to the "Round Table" viewpoint, on to the "Dolomitoskop" and to the inn Corno di Sotto. The unique view of the Dolomites and the 360° panorama with over forty peaks from 3,000-metre peaks in the Alps will remain in your memory. Panorama trail approx. 2 h, possibly extendable if you want to go to the Corno del Renon.

Knottenkino
A cinema of a special kind
"Knottn" means rock in South Tyrolean. The Knottnkino is a cinema on the rock and is located on the edge of the Rotensteinkogel and offers a breathtaking panorama. Depending on the route, this special cinema can be reached in 1-3h on various hiking routes.

Earth pyramids on the Renon
Bizarre landscapes on the Renon sun plateau
The Renon earth pyramids are erosion phenomena and are formed where glacial moraine clay was deposited in the valleys. From Bolzano, the cablecar takes you to Soprabolzano and from there you can reach the earth pyramids via a pleasant hiking trail to Collalbo and Longomoso . You can also return to Soprabolzano by the traditional narrow-gauge railway. Our guests can use the cable car and narrow-gauge railway free of charge with the WinePass.

Peace and tranquillity
The Monte San Vigilio above Lana is a small, natural hiker's paradise at 1,700 m above sea level. From Lana up with the old cable car and then possibly with the one-man chair lift to the mountain station, various hiking routes between 1 and 3 hours are possible.

Panorama Trail Catinaccio
Mountain hut Paolina to the Mountain hut Fronza alle Coronelle
The Catinaccio has been part of the Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park since 2003. The Paolina chairlift takes you easily to the Paolina Hut. From there you hike along the Rosengarten to the hut Fronza alle Coronelle, always with a unique view of the surrounding mountains. A wonderful high-altitude hike, with few metres of ascent.

Colle - "Schneiderwiesen"
Easy hike above Bolzano
Take the cable car Colle at Bolzano. From there, follow a pleasant hiking trail through the forest with a moderate ascent in a southerly direction to the meadows of "Schneiderwiesen" (approx. 1.5 h, possibly also extendable).
